For the first time since joining the South Suburban Conference in 2014, Farmington baseball are SSC champions. The title is the first conference championship for the baseball team since 2005-06 when they shared the conference championship as a member of the Missota Conference.
Farmington (17-2, 15-2 SSC) grabbed an early lead on its way to an 8-5 victory over Rosemount (12-5, 12-5 SSC) on Wednesday, May 18 at Rosemount High School.

Farmington earned the victory despite allowing Rosemount to score three runs in the first inning. Rosemount's big inning was driven by groundouts by Roszak and Wenzel and a double by Hanson.
Farmington took the lead for good with four runs in the second inning. In the second,
Mason Conrad singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs,
Kyle Hrncir singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, and
Connor Weed singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Tyler Borlik pitched the Tigers to victory. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over five and a third innings, striking out six.
Thiesen started the game for Rosemount. The pitcher surrendered seven runs on eight hits over three innings, striking out three. Thompson threw four innings out of the bullpen.
Kyle Hrncir started the game for Farmington . The hurler lasted one and two-thirds innings, allowing three hits and five runs.
Farmington tallied one home run on the day. Bombardier had a long ball in the seventh inning.
The Tigers totaled 11 hits.

Kyle Hrncir each managed multiple hits for Farmington. Hrncir, Conrad, and Bombardier each collected two hits to lead theTigers.
Richter led Rosemount with two hits in four at bats.
Farmington wraps up the regular season on Thursday, May 19 at Tiger 1 as they host Lakeville North on senior night. The Tigers are looking to avenge an April 21, 5-6 loss to the Panthers at Lakeville North.
