Gabe Bombardier came the ballpark and meant business on Monday, driving in four on two hits to lead Farmington past Shakopee 15-2 on Monday. Bombardier drove in runs on a home run in the fourth and a triple in the fifth.
Farmington got things moving in the first inning, when
Kyle Hrncir reached on a dropped third strike.
In the top of the second inning, the Tigers tied things up at two.
Drew Conrad drove in one when Conrad singled.
Farmington pulled away for good with four runs in the third inning. In the third an error scored one run for the Tigers and
Mason Conrad singled on a 0-1 count, scoring two runs.
Farmington tallied four runs in the sixth inning. The Tigers big bats in the inning were led by a single by
Carter Hoff and a double by Hrncir.
Zach Dohrmann was credited with the victory for the Tigers. The hurler allowed two hits and two runs over five innings, striking out seven and walking one.
Tyler Borlik threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Morris toed the rubber for Shakopee. The hurler lasted three innings, allowing six hits and seven runs while striking out six. #16 and Duncan entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two innings and one inning respectively.
Farmington tallied one home run on the day. Bombardier had a long ball in the fourth inning.
The Tigers had 14 hits in the game.
Dom Vogel, Conrad, Bombardier, and
Matt Hinnenkamp all managed multiple hits for Farmington. Hinnenkamp, Bombardier, Conrad, and Vogel each collected two hits to lead Farmington.
