Farmington, Minn. -- In a South Suburban Conference clash at Dodge Middle School's Tiger Field, the Tigers showcased their offensive prowess, securing a commanding 9-2 victory over the Eastview Lightning, improving their season record to an impressive 2-0.
The game kicked off with an early lead for the visiting Eastview squad, but the Tigers quickly countered.
In the top of the first inning, Eastview's offense struck first, with a steal of home by Rogers, putting them ahead 1-0. However, Farmington's defense tightened up, recording three consecutive outs, including a strikeout and a caught stealing at second base, minimizing the damage.
The bottom of the first inning saw Farmington swiftly respond, capitalizing on an error by the Eastview first baseman. Kelin Rasmussen's ground ball drove in Dillon Carlson, knotting the score at 1-1.
