Tigers Burn Blaze 11-6

Burnsville, Minn. -- In a decisive matchup, Farmington Tigers claimed victory over Burnsville Blaze Varsity with a final score of 11-6 on Tuesday.

Burnsville got an early lead with Jacob Neutz's walk and Brandon Einberger's double in the bottom of the first, scoring one run each. Adding one more run in the second, Burnsville seemed to be in control with a 3-0 advantage.

However, Farmington turned the tide in the top of the third, scoring five runs on three hits to snatch a 5-3 lead, with Dillon Carlson's sacrifice fly being a pivotal moment. Brandon Lund, the right-handed pitcher for Farmington, secured the win despite conceding seven hits and six runs (four earned) over four innings, while striking out two and walking one.

Gerald Johnson, pitching for Burnsville, took the loss after three and two-thirds innings, allowing eight runs (three earned) on six hits, with two strikeouts and one walk.

Carter Giesen stepped up for Farmington, earning the save. With a total of 12 hits in the game, Farmington's Kelin Rasmussen and Dillon Carlson showcased their prowess at the plate, each driving in two runs.

Lund led the offensive charge with three hits in four at-bats, while Josh Berreth and Trevor Rasmusson contributed multiple hits. Farmington's aggressive baserunning saw them steal three bases.

For Burnsville, Brandon Einberger was a standout performer, driving in three runs and going 2-for-4 at the plate. Connor Morrissey and Einberger each collected two hits.

Looking ahead, the Tigers gear up for a face-off against Eagan on Wednesday.
