BLAZING CATS Adaptive Softball Heads into Playoffs!

LAKEVILLE, Minn -- The Blazing Cats Varsity Adaptive Softball team heads into the playoffs with momentum and confidence, finishing the regular season with a 4–3 record and earning the #3 seed in the South. The Cats secured a first-round bye and will face the winner of the Stillwater–Centennial matchup on May 8 at 4:30 PM.

In their final regular season game, the Cats battled hard in a competitive matchup against the Hawks, ultimately falling 11–16. The Hawks jumped out to an early 10–1 lead, but the Cats clawed back with determination. Drayden sparked the offense with the team's first home run, and by the second inning, the Cats narrowed the gap to 12–5. Zahven and Laynie showcased impressive teamwork with key plays around second base, while solid catches and timely hits came from players across the lineup. The Blazing Cats' scoring was powered by Drayden, Ella, and Alyssa, and Ella made a big impact stepping up to take over as pitcher, delivering a standout performance.

Meanwhile, the Junior Varsity squad capped off their season in thrilling fashion—coming from behind to score five runs in the bottom of the final inning and clinching a victory that preserved their undefeated record.
