Farmington Trap Team Wins Conference Title, Prepares for State Tournament

FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington High School Trap Team has capped off a standout spring season by earning 1st Place in Class 8A - Conference 3, marking a major achievement for the program and its 62 participating athletes.

The team showcased consistent excellence throughout the season, leading to a strong team finish and numerous individual accolades. The Tigers will now shift their focus to the MSHSL State Tournament, set for Monday, June 16 in Alexandria.

INDIVIDUAL HONORS

Scarlett Hedrick, a sophomore, tied for 1st place in the All-Conference Female Division and earned the team's High Gun Female title with a season average of 22.4. Other All-Conference Female honorees included:

  • Kylie Plambeck – 3rd Place

  • Madeline Gramstad – 5th Place

  • Hailey Sisco – 6th Place

  • Kendra Legried – 10th Place

In the Male Division, the following athletes earned All-Conference recognition:

  • Brayden Schentzel – 5th Place

  • Brody Nordvik – 7th Place

  • Cooper Fernelius – 9th Place

Schentzel, a junior, also led all Tigers with a 22.6 season average, earning the High Gun Male award and Varsity Male title for the spring season.

PERFECT ROUNDS

Congratulations to the athletes who shot perfect rounds of 25 targets this season:

Scarlett Hedrick (2), Cooper Fernelius (2), Matt Dapper, Martin Loewenberg, Luke Standke, Dylan Bearth, Hailey Sisco, Drew Scanlon, Jack Kasel, and Henry Burns. Additional perfect rounds were recorded by Oran McCabe and Dominic Olson at the MGC Pre-Shoot Tournament.

VARSITY LETTER WINNERS

Twenty-four student-athletes qualified for a Farmington Varsity Letter by averaging over 20 points per round during the season:

Brayden Schentzel, Brody Nordvik, Scarlett Hedrick, Cooper Fernelius, Dominic Olson, Kylie Plambeck, Tyler Lagro, Martin Loewenberg, Luke Standke, Hayden Sticker, Oliver Cook, Dylan Bearth, Cody Bearth, Oran McCabe, Jordan Skaar, Madeline Gramstad, Drew Scanlon, Jack Kasel, Hailey Sisco, Ethan Greiner, Jake Fields, Brooke Jezierski, TJ Nielson, and Lily Blanchard.

LOOKING AHEAD

With momentum on their side, the Tigers will travel to Alexandria for the State Tournament on Monday, June 16.
