Keith Badger begins year five serving as the Activities and Athletics Director/Assistant Principal for the Farmington Area Public Schools. He oversees the administration of Farmington High School’s 34 athletic programs and 15 activities/arts programs.
Throughout the last five years, a number of athletic programs have advanced to the MSHSL state tournament and won section and South Suburban Conference championships.
During the 2023-24 school year, Farmington High School’s boys basketball team advanced to the MSHSL Class AAAA state tournament for the first time since 1937.
Badger serves the MnIAAA as the Region 1 AA Representative and serves on the Region 1AA finance committee. In December of 2020, Badger was a presenter at the National Athletic Director's Conference. During the 2023-24 school year, he was recognized as the MnIAAA 2023-24 Region 1AA Activities Director of the Year.
In addition to the Tigers’ athletic success in competition, many of the school’s athletic programs earned the title of Academic Gold or Silver as defined by their sport’s coaches association.
Under Badger, the 2025-26 Tigers look to continue their prowess in competition and performance while demonstrating a commitment to the classroom and community. The activities and athletics experience at Farmington High School works to develop educated, empathetic, well-rounded individuals prepared for success after graduation.
Prior to his role in Farmington, Badger served as the Activities Director for the Faribault Public Schools from 2018-2021.
Before becoming an activities director, Badger was a head football coach, head of strength & conditioning, and a teacher. In 2015, Badger was recognized by the Green Bay Packers for his football coaching performance. In 2016, he was recognized by KARE 11 during their “Thank You Coach” campaign acknowledging MN and WI coaches going above and beyond to help athletes grow on and off the field of play. Badger is also a former Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA).
Badger is a proud graduate of the University of St. Thomas where he was a member of the football team and earned a degree in Physical Education. He earned his Masters in Education (M.Ed.) and WI K-12 Principal Licensure from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls, and earned his Educational Specialist Degree (Ed.S.) and MN K-12 Principal Licensure from Minnesota State University - Mankato.
As a high school student-athlete, Badger participated in football, basketball, and track & field.
