Farmington Baseball managed through a push by John Marshall in the second inning where the Tigers coughed up three runs. The Tigers still won 8-4 on Monday.
The big inning for John Marshall came thanks to an error on a ball put in play by Chercuho and Guillette.
Farmington captured the lead in the first inning. The Tigers scored one run on a stolen base.
Farmington took the lead for good with four runs in the fourth inning. In the fourth,
Carson Spelman was struck by a pitch, driving in a run,
Mason Conrad singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, and
Kyle Hrncir singled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.
Zach Dohrmann was the winning pitcher for the Tigers. The pitcher lasted six innings, allowing six hits and four runs while striking out 14.
Tyler Borlik threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Wojthienwicz started the game for John Marshall. The bulldog surrendered two runs on three hits over two innings. #16 and #20 entered the game as relief, throwing two innings and two innings respectively.
Farmington collected eight hits. Conrad and Hrncir all collected multiple hits for the Tigers. Hrncir and Conrad each collected two hits to lead Farmington.
John Marshall totaled six hits in the game. Schmitt and Satre all managed multiple hits for John Marshall.
The Tigers advance to the second round of the Section 1 AAAA Baseball tournament where they play host to #4 Rochester Century on Wednesday, June 1 at Tiger 1.
