For the second year in a row, the Farmington Tigers Baseball team is Section 1 AAAA Champions and headed to the MSHSL Class AAAA State Tournament!
Farmington defeated Lakeville South 3-0 on Tuesday, June 7 at Athletic Field in Red Wing, MN.
Hunter Frost shut down Lakeville South, throwing a complete game shutout and leading Farmington to a 3-0 victory on Tuesday.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Frost struck out eight, while Lakeville South pitchers sat down six.

One bright spot for Lakeville South was a single by Haberman in the second inning.
Frost took the win for Farmington. The bulldog went seven innings, allowing zero runs on two hits, striking out eight and walking one.
Marland led things off on the hill for Lakeville South. The pitcher surrendered three runs on four hits over three innings, striking out four. Witter and Camden Lyke entered the game from the bullpen, throwing two and two-thirds innings and one-third of an inning respectively.
Ethan Coyer led the Tigers with two hits in three at bats. Farmington was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Vogel had the most chances in the field with eight.
Lakeville South was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Baumgartner made the most plays with six.
The Tigers advance to the MSHSL Class AAAA State Tournament which will begin on Tuesday, June 14. The site for the quarterfinal games is CHS Field in St. Paul, MN - home of the St. Paul Saints.
