Lakeville, MN -- State Champions Blazing Cats Soccer Continues to Dominate in the 2023 Season

The Blazing Cats Soccer team is off to an amazing start! Three games in and they are undefeated!

Varsity started out the season strong in their opening game on September 26 with a win against Dakota United 8-1! According to statistician Doug Roseth, this was the 20th consecutive win for soccer and there are seven seniors on the team!

With a quick turnaround two days later on September 28, the Blazing Cats athletes had the chance to play a new team, North Tartans from Oakdale. Once again, this brought another win for Varsity with a score of 20-1! Not to be outdone, the JV team led off this season as well with a huge win, 13-1! Both teams played well, but the Cats just had a better night. Almost every offensive player scored at least once. According to the coaching staff "It was really fun to see the effort and enthusiasm of the players. It was a fast moving night and many balls ended up in the crowd. No parents were injured in making of this game!" 

And for the third game of the season on October 3, another great victory for the Varsity at St Paul Johnson!! The Cats won 14-3 with great passing and a strong defense!!

During Week 6 of the season, The Blazing Cats will take on S. Washington on Tuesday, October 10 at home (Lakeville South High School) and travel to Bloomington Jefferson on Thursday, October 12. Game time is 4:30 pm.
