Third Time's the Charm: UNDEFEATED Blazing Cats State Champions

Stillwater, Minn -- UNDEFEATED 3PEAT Blazing Cats Soccer Team State Champions!

The Minnesota Adapted Athletics Association's mission is to provide youth with disabilities the same opportunities as other students to enjoy the benefits of a quality high school sports program. The Blazing Cats Soccer Team coached by Shawn Tatge are a coop of Farmington, Lakeville South, Lakeville North, and Burnsville athletes. For the 3rd year in a row, they have won the championship title!

The history of adaptive athletics began in 1969 with students asking the question "why couldn't they play competitive sports like everyone else?" Thus throughout the 70s, 80s, and 90s began adaptive floor hockey, rules created and the growth of soccer, floor hockey, bowling, and softball with the Minnesota State High School League accepting Adaptive Athletics into the league in the early 90s. For more detailed information, please see the Minnesota Adapted Athletics website: https://mnadaptedathletics.com/history
