Farmington, Minn. -- The Tigers regained their spot atop the South Suburban table, after taking care of Shakopee at home, 3-1.
The Tigers struck first on a deep snipe off the foot of
Alek Silenko. Silenko lined one up from over 30 yards out and tucked it by the keeper for a stunning opening goal.
The Sabers would equalize after sneaking one by
Tommy Lund and we went into halftime knotted up at one.
Minutes into the second half,
Jacob Kiage tore through the midfield and dropped off a beautiful assist to
Ivan Ruiz for a goal off the lunging keeper's hands.
Ruiz found the back of the net again on a laser off the right foot in the 60th minute for arguably the goal of the year on a tough angle.
The Tiger offense has netted three goals in back-to-back contests.
