Farmington, Minn. -- In a decisive SSC matchup, the Farmington Tigers demonstrated their resilience, bouncing back from their first loss of the season to secure a commanding 11-4 victory over the Lakeville North Panthers on Thursday night.
Marshall Gordon, a key player for the Tigers, showcased his offensive ability with a remarkable performance, driving in five runs on three hits.
Gordon's timely hits proved instrumental in securing the win for Farmington. The Tigers wasted no time asserting their dominance, capitalizing on an early opportunity in the first inning following an error by Lakeville North.
Building on their momentum, Farmington extended their lead with a flurry of runs in the second inning, courtesy of RBI singles by
Dalton Kesti and Gordon.
Brandon Lund's stellar pitching performance further bolstered the Tigers' position, as the right-hander delivered a solid outing, allowing only four hits and four runs over seven innings while striking out four batters.
On the offensive front, Farmington showcased their depth with a total of 12 hits, with Kesti and
Dillon Carlson leading the charge with multiple hits each.
