Tigers Fall to Waconia 3-1, Drop to 0-2 on the Season

FARMINGTON, Minn. -- The Farmington Tigers boys soccer team dropped to 0-2 on the season after a 3-1 defeat to the Waconia Wildcats on Saturday morning at Tiger Stadium.

The Tigers started strong with an excellent first possession, but Waconia quickly took control. The Wildcats struck first at the 35:49 mark, taking a 1-0 lead. They doubled their advantage at 24:21, converting a rebound after a blocked free-kick to go up 2-0.

Farmington found some life with 13:16 remaining in the first half when #27 Andrew Kaliev scored the Tigers' first home goal of the season, narrowing the gap to 2-1.

Despite the momentum shift, Waconia regained their two-goal lead with just under 15 minutes left in the game, sealing the 3-1 victory. The Wildcats improved to 1-1 on the year, while the Tigers continue searching for their first win.
