FARMINGTON, Minn. -- In a hard-fought South Suburban Conference matchup on Tuesday night, the Farmington Tigers and Lakeville North Panthers battled to a 2-2 tie at Tiger Stadium. The Tigers started strong, with
Mua Okongo putting Farmington ahead early in the first half. Okongo beat his defender in the wide channel and calmly slotted the ball past the Panthers' goalkeeper in a 1-v-1 situation, with
Luke Wegwerth providing the assist.
Lakeville North responded with two quick goals, swinging the momentum in their favor and putting the Tigers on the back foot. However, Farmington captain Matt Hanley refused to let the game slip away. Late in the match, Hanley fought for possession in the box and found the back of the net to level the score at 2-2, ensuring a point for the Tigers.
