LAKEVILLE, Minn. – The Farmington High School Dance Team competed at the Lakeville North Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 14, taking on a strong field of teams while navigating a short-handed roster due to illness. Despite the challenges, the Tigers showed resilience across all levels of competition.
RECAP
With three dancers sidelined, Farmington adjusted its lineups and maintained focus throughout a demanding meet. Both varsity squads finished ninth in their respective divisions, competing against deep, talented programs in the South Metro. The junior varsity and B squads turned in solid performances, highlighted by a fifth-place finish in JV Kick and a seventh-place showing in B Jazz.
RESULTS
- Varsity Kick: 9th Place
- Varsity Jazz: 9th Place
Senior Lily Running reflected on the team's efforts:
"Yesterday was a day to really push as a team and see how capable we are. Even though we may not have gotten our best scores or placements, it was important to see how we were able to adapt and work together when we were missing teammates. I'm hoping the team uses this week as motivation and gives everything we have leading up to championships."
UP NEXT
The Tigers return to action on Tuesday, Dec. 16, traveling to Prior Lake for their final kick conference meet of the season. The team will then begin preparations for the Conference Championships on Saturday, Dec. 20.
