FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers put together a dominant performance on Thursday afternoon, defeating the Burnsville Blaze 17-3 at Tiger Field to improve to 3-1 on the season.

Burnsville struck first in the top of the first inning, scoring twice on a sacrifice fly by Collin Heckman and an RBI single from Rachon Ferguson-Lewis. But Farmington wasted no time responding. The Tigers erupted for eight runs in the bottom half of the inning on seven hits, highlighted by a two-run double off the bat of Payton Topel.
Farmington kept the offense rolling in the second inning, scoring seven more runs to push the lead to 15-2. Brody Rasmussen and Isaiah Bramer each drove in two with base hits, while Benny Fenske and Ty Beck added RBI singles of their own. A Burnsville error also allowed a run to score during the rally.
On the mound, Ethan Hagman earned the win, throwing four innings and allowing three runs—two earned—on six hits, while striking out five. Connor Stember closed out the game with a clean fifth inning, striking out two in relief.
The Tigers totaled 14 hits in the game and committed no errors defensively. Bramer, Topel, Beck, Rasmussen, and Ben Keppler each tallied two hits, while Bramer, Topel, Rasmussen, and Brandon Lund all recorded two RBIs apiece.
