FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers delivered a dramatic finish on Tuesday evening, walking off the Lakeville North Panthers 2-1 in a tightly contested South Suburban Conference matchup at Tiger Field.

With the game tied 1-1 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Ty Beck stepped up and played the hero. The junior delivered a game-winning single that brought home the winning run and capped a strong performance at the plate, going 3-for-4 on the day.
Farmington opened the scoring in the third inning when Marshall Gordon drove in a run with an RBI single. Lakeville North answered in the top of the sixth, tying the game on a base hit by Teddy Juaire.
Pitching was the story for much of the night. Brodie Gibart got the start for the Tigers and was in control across five shutout innings, striking out eight and allowing just two hits. Brandon Lund came on in relief and earned the win, tossing two innings while giving up one run on two hits and striking out two.
The Tigers' defense held strong as well, turning a key double play to keep the Panthers off the board in a tight moment.
