APPLE VALLEY, Minn. – A fast start and relentless offense propelled the Farmington Tigers to a 16-0 win over Apple Valley on Tuesday night at Apple Valley High School. With the victory, Farmington improved to 8-2 overall on the season as they continue to roll through South Suburban Conference play.
RECAP
The Tigers wasted no time jumping on the Eagles, scoring four runs in the top of the first inning highlighted by a run-scoring double from Jacob Traynor. Farmington followed up with a six-run second inning, capitalizing on seven hits in the frame. Ty Beck's two-run triple and RBI singles from Payton Topel, Isaiah Bramer, and Benny Fenske highlighted the outburst.
Farmington added a run in the third and exploded for another six in the fourth to put the game out of reach. In the fourth, Mikhi Chant and Ethan Hagman each delivered RBI doubles, while sacrifice flies and walks added to the damage.
Brodie Gibart was dominant on the mound, tossing four shutout innings while allowing just one hit and striking out six. Caden Lock closed it out with a scoreless fifth.
OFFENSIVE LEADERS
The Tigers tallied 18 hits as seven different players recorded multiple knocks. Traynor, Beck, Hagman, and Lund each drove in two runs, while Topel swiped two bases to keep pressure on the defense. Farmington also drew seven walks, showing patience and discipline at the plate.
