DUNDAS, Minn. – The top-seeded Farmington Tigers punched their ticket to the Section 1AAAA championship game with a 13-3 win over No. 7 seed Rochester Century on Saturday morning at Memorial Field, home of the Dundas Dukes. Powered by a decisive eight-run third inning and 16 total hits, the Tigers moved one step closer to a state tournament berth.

Farmington took an early lead in the bottom of the second when Ben Keppler delivered an RBI double, setting the tone for what would be a dominant offensive performance. The Tigers exploded for eight runs in the third inning to take full control. The rally included RBI singles from Keppler, Joseph Larson, and Payton Topel, a two-run double by Marshall Gordon, and a two-run single from Jacob Traynor. Ty Beck also plated a run on a fielder's choice.
Topel was a constant presence on the basepaths, finishing 3-for-4 with singles in the first, third, and sixth innings. Gordon, Larson, Beck, Rasmussen, and Keppler each recorded multi-hit games to support the Tigers' effort.
Joe Baldus earned the win, tossing three scoreless innings with two strikeouts and just two hits allowed. Ethan Hagman and Connor Stember combined for the final three innings to close out the run-rule victory in six.

Farmington advances to the Section 1AAAA championship game, scheduled for Tuesday, June 3, at Memorial Field in Dundas—weather permitting. The Tigers will await the winner of the elimination bracket as they look to secure a trip to the MSHSL Class AAAA State Baseball Tournament.
