FARMINGTON, Minn. – The No. 1 seeded Farmington Tigers punched their ticket to the Section 1A boys lacrosse championship game with a 12-6 semifinal win over No. 4 seeded Lakeville South on Thursday night at Tiger Stadium. The Tigers built a lead early and held off a late push from the Cougars to secure the win and a spot in Tuesday's title game.
RECAP
Farmington opened strong, taking a 3-1 lead after the first quarter and extending it to 5-2 by halftime. The Tigers' defense tightened in the third quarter, shutting out Lakeville South while adding two more goals to take a 7-2 advantage into the final frame. The Cougars managed to score four times in the fourth quarter, but Farmington answered with five of their own to maintain control and close out the game.
Caden Hennes led the Tigers with three goals and one assist. Drake Anderson also netted a hat trick, while Henry Ulrick contributed three goals of his own. AJ Vinar scored twice and added an assist, and Parker Nivala recorded one goal and two assists to round out a well-balanced offensive performance.

Farmington will face No. 2 seeded Lakeville North in the Section 1A championship game on Tuesday, June 3. The game will be played at 6:00 p.m. in Tiger Stadium, with a trip to the MSHSL state tournament on the line.
