FARMINGTON, Minn. – In a tightly contested non-conference matchup on Tuesday afternoon, the Farmington Tigers Girls Tennis team came up just short, falling 4-3 to the visiting Jordan Jaguars at Farmington High School. The narrow defeat drops the Tigers to 0-2 on the young season.

Farmington split the singles competition, with senior Sadie Spolarich and junior Reagan Donahue each securing wins. Donahue's three-set battle at the No. 4 spot was one of the day's highlights, as she held on to win 7-5 in the final set.
In doubles action, the Tigers got a straight-set victory from the freshman duo of Eliana Elvestad and Kate Morehead at No. 2, winning a tightly contested second-set tiebreaker to help keep Farmington in the match. However, Jordan's wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles spots ultimately secured the team result for the Jaguars.
UP NEXT
Farmington will hit the road for the first time this season when they travel to Burnsville on Wednesday, August 21. The match against the Blaze is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m.
