WACONIA, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers boys soccer team came up short in a 4-2 road loss to the Waconia Wildcats on Saturday afternoon. The result moves the Tigers to 0-1-1 on the season.
RECAP
Waconia capitalized on early chances to take the lead and held off Farmington despite a pair of Tiger goals. Jake Giddings scored the first for Farmington off an assist from Jose Ruiz, while Ruiz added a goal of his own later in the match, set up by Devyn Haugrud.
The Tigers battled to close the gap in the second half but were unable to overcome the Wildcats' four-goal performance.
UP NEXT
Farmington continues its non-conference schedule on the road Monday, August 25, when they face Section 1AAA opponent Rochester Century. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m.
