Important Registration Information
If you receive an error stating your child's STUDENT ID is incorrect, that means that your child does not have a current sports physical on file with the school.
Sports physicals can be emailed to Sue Hurtgen (shurtgen@farmington.k12.mn.us), faxed to the High School (651-252-2520), or dropped off in the 2nd floor Main Office at Farmington High School.
All participants in athletic, activity, and arts programs at Farmington High School must be fully registered prior to the student's participation in the first practice and/or tryout.
Paperwork must be turned in to the Farmington High School activities office. Do no bring paperwork to your first practice and/or tryout.
7-8 grade students participating in 7-12 programs must register through Farmington High School.
Before registration can be completed, a student must have:
- A current sports qualifying physical examination (SPQE) on file with the athletic office (the sports physical must be good through the entire sport season and must be dated after 6/15/2020 for the 2022-23 year);
- Completed the online registration through RevTrak; and,
- Paid the athletic fees.
Student managers should sign up as a (Seasonal) Manager. There is no fee or physical requirement for managers.
Please note: registration closes the Friday before the activity or sport begins. Specific dates can be found on the
2022-23 Activity Calendar. Don't forget to register before the activity closes!
Online payment must be made with a credit card. Families requesting financial assistance or who wish to pay by cash or check must do so in person in the Athletics/Activities Office in the second floor office at FHS. Student's will not be allowed to practice or try out until their registration is complete.
Team levels offered for each athletic program are based on participation numbers following the closure of registration.

Middle School Exceptional Athlete Procedure
The use of 7th and 8th grade athletes to compete on 9, B, JV and Varsity teams, within a 9-12 program, is discouraged whenever possible. However, if a coach at the varsity level feels that there is an athlete in a 7th or 8th grade program who could participate with his/her varsity team, each case shall be handled individually. From time to time, due to participation numbers the high school may need to promote 7th and/or 8th grade athletes to high school teams. However, when program numbers are robust, or when cuts are made, promotions will only be made in extraordinary circumstances or when the middle school athlete is deemed to have potential to contribute at the varsity level. Individual decisions are the responsibility of the head coach and will be reviewed by the Athletic Director.
