Julia Ristow

Julia Ristow serves her local church as a worship leader and is a proud FHS graduate from 2018 who spent most of her time in the music, theater, and art departments. She has been doing community and school theater from the age of eight and over her career as an on-stage actor, Ristow has been in over 45 stage productions.  Some of her favorite roles being Elvira in “Blithe Spirit,” an Usherette in “The Producers,” and of course, her roles as “The Wiz” in The Wiz and Mrs. Potts in “Beauty and the Beast” at FHS.

Music at FHS led her to achieve her dreams of getting her Bachelor of Music Performance degree in Vocal from the University of Northwestern St. Paul back in 2022 where she also performed in the opera “Cosi Fan Tutti” as Dorabella. Throughout the years Julia has been the assistant director for “Grease” and done acting and directing camps through The Plays the Thing Productions and worked backstage in hair and makeup for other shows at UNWSP.

Since college, Julia spends her time voice acting out of her home studio for indie projects like the video games “Fuzai no Gakusei (The Absent Student)” and the upcoming role-playing-game “Our Dying World.” She is looking forward to seeing both new and old faces visiting the stage while directing the fall play at FHS.
