Tyler Wells has been teaching Earth Science and Astronomy at Farmington High School since 2017. He joined Science Olympiad as the assistant coach in 2019 and has served as head coach since 2022. What he enjoys most about Science Olympiad is the passion that each student brings into their events. This is an activity that blends in all fields of science. Students are learning as they go and sometimes step out of their comfort zone to take on new challenges related to topics they are unfamiliar with. Being able to help foster curiosity and perseverance when facing difficult obstacles is an incredible experience and it has been amazing to see our members grow and develop, both as people and as budding scientists.
