Transformational Purpose Statement: I coach to create a caring environment, focused on meeting learners where they are by building meaningful relationships, through innovation and radical trust.

Chad Olson enters his 14th year as the head coach at Farmington High School. He enters his 21st year as a head coach, Coach Olson spent 7 years as a head coach at Richfield High School.

Olson took over the wrestling program that had only won 3 duals the year before. During his time at Farmington, he has led the program to 2 Section 1AAA Championships, 2 State AAA appearances and a 6th Place finish at the 2015 State Tournament. Olson has coached 48 individual state entrants and 3 State Champions.

Olson was named Section 1AAA Coach of the Year and State Coach of the Year in 2015, along with co-head coach Henry Gerten. In addition to coaching wrestling, Olson is a PE teacher at FHS, assistant varsity football coach and serves on the MWCA All Tournament Selection Committee.

Olson is a graduate of Farmington High School, where he was a 3 sport athlete competing in football, wrestling and baseball. He attended Augsburg University, where he was a member of the football and wrestling teams.
