Spring is finally here and the Farmington Tigers Boys Lacrosse team opened up the season at home vs Blake with a dominant 14-7 victory.
Â
The Tigers started the scoring with senior
Tate Rusnacko netting the first goal of the year after a Blake penalty.
Luke Coolidge doubled up the score with his first goal of the year at even strength. However, the Tigers would go on to commit two costly penalties and allow three unanswered goals to finish out the first quarter.
Â
That would end up being the last time they trailed in the contest as the Tigers shutout Blake in the second quarter while scoring another four goals themselves, leading 6-3 at halftime.
Â
The Tiger offense exploded for another six goals in the third quarter, effectively silencing their opponents for good. They led 12-4 after three quarters.
Â
The Tigers would coast to victory with great performances on both sides of the field. Rusnacko led all scoring with five goals, Henry Ulrick,
Luke Coolidge, and
Brock Harvey each tossed in a pair. The Tigers got scoring from six different players in the victory.
