Farmington, Minn. - Farmington nabbed the lead late in the game in an 8-4 victory over the Rogers Royals on Friday.
The game was tied at four with the Tigers batting in the bottom of the sixth when
Sawyer Hoffman singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Farmington fired up the offense in the first inning scoring one run when
Tanner Rezny singled.
Ethan Bombardier was credited with the victory for Farmington. The ace surrendered zero runs on one hit over two innings, striking out two.
Miller was on the mound for Rogers. The hurler allowed six hits and two runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three. Adam Salwei and Cavan Banks entered the game from the bullpen, throwing one and one-third innings and one inning respectively.
Hoffman started the game for the Tigers. The pitcher allowed eight hits and four runs over five innings, striking out eight and walking one
Farmington tallied 12 hits on the day. Hoffman and Rezny all had multiple hits for the Tigers. Rezny and Hoffman each collected three hits to lead Farmington. The Tigers was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Marshall Gordon made the most plays with nine.
Rogers saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. Banks, Zayden Smith, and Noah Gordon all managed multiple hits for the Rogers Royals. Rogers didn't commit a single error in the field. Riane Ritter had eight chances in the field, the most on the team.
