Eagan, Minn. - Girls Lacrosse traveled to Eastview High School for a SSC matchup on Tuesday, May 16. Farmington High School faced off against the Eastview/Eagan co-op team at Eagan High School.
Despite their best efforts, Farmington ultimately fell short, losing by a final score of 10-7.
The game began with both teams displaying strong defensive play, making it challenging for either side to find the back of the net. However, as the first half progressed, Eastview/Eagan managed to gain a slight edge, capitalizing on their offensive opportunities. By halftime, Farmington found themselves trailing 6-4, with the co-op team holding a two-goal advantage.
Undeterred by the deficit, Farmington came out in the second half with renewed determination. Caprese Meier initiated the scoring for Farmington, showing off her offensive prowess. Jaida Steffes followed suit, finding the back of the net twice to bring Farmington within striking distance.
Brianna Scanlon, another key player for Farmington, displayed her scoring ability by notching two goals during the game.
Riley Wicklund and Addison Moudry also made significant contributions to Farmington's offensive efforts, each scoring a goal to bolster their team's chances of a comeback.
Farmington falls to 4-6, 1-4 SSC on the season and Eastview/Eagan improves to 5-6, 2-3 SSC on the year.
