Shakopee, Minn. - 12 runs in the fourth inning led Farmington past Shakopee 12-1 on Monday, May 8.
The offensive onslaught by the Tigers was led by
Kelin Rasmussen,
Luke Rice, Marshall Gordon,
Luke Walton,
Sawyer Hoffman, and
Tanner Rezny, all driving in runs in the inning.
Hoffman pitched Farmington to victory. Hoffman went five innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out seven and walking one.
Nick Johnson started the game for Shakopee. The southpaw went three innings, allowing six runs on five hits, striking out three and walking one. Jordan La Tour and Ryan Hackett entered the game as relief, throwing one inning and one inning respectively.
Farmington saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. Josh Bereth, Rice, and
Dillon Carlson each managed multiple hits for the Tigers. Carlson, Rice, and Bereth each collected two hits to lead Farmington. The Tigers Varsity didn't commit a single error in the field. Gordon had seven chances in the field, the most on the team.
