Lakeville, Minn. - In a Monday evening, South Suburban Conference matchup between the Farmington Tigers and the Lakeville South Cougars at Lakeville South High School, the Tigers emerged victorious with a final score of 15-5.
The Tigers took the lead early on, with a 2-0 advantage at the end of the first quarter.
The second quarter saw Farmington increase their lead even further, scoring four more goals and holding the Cougars to just one goal, ending the first half with a commanding 6-1 lead.
Farmington continued to dominate in the third quarter, scoring seven goals to Lakeville South's one, ending the quarter with a 13-2 lead. Although Lakeville South made a small comeback in the fourth quarter, it was not enough to overcome the deficit, and Farmington ultimately secured the victory with a final score of 15-5.
Farmington's scoring was distributed across several players, with Jack Rosa, Tommy Lund, Cody Shoyat, Henry Ulrick, Wyatt Ulrick, Evrett Bennett, Luke Coolidge, Tate Rusnacko, and Aiden Vinar all finding the back of the net. Henry Ulrick was particularly impressive, scoring four goals for Farmington.
Farmington's offense was efficient throughout the game, taking 21 shots on goal and converting 15 of them. The Tigers' defense also played a crucial role in their victory, limiting the Cougars to just five goals.
