Farmington, MN - The T1GERS hosted #3 in the conference Eagan Wildcats and regardless of the team's record differences the match DID NOT disappoint. Farmington started hot, winning the first set 25-23. In the 2nd set it was a battle to 10, until Eagan went on a 6-0 run which led to a 25-20 win for the cats. In the 3rd set the Wildcats held momentum in a back and forth which led to another cat win 25-18. Despite being down 1-2 the T1GERS showed life in the fourth, only missing two serves and winning 25-22. The 5th set could not have been more of a rollercoaster. The T1GERS started on fire with 3 blocks within the first 6 points and a 5-1 lead. That lead continued to 10-4 and 12-5 but Eagan put their foot down and showed the success of their season. The Wildcats finish on a 10-1 run and win 15-13 in the 5th set.
The T1GERS were led in kills by Cole Wilcek, collecting 15 kills which is a team high and 5 blocks. Bergen Miller had an exceptional night with 12 kills and 3 aces while Senior Soren Huebsch also tallied 3 aces. Andrew Kaliev and Alex Afanasyev each had 6 kills and Jacob Graham played relentless defense for the T1GERS.
Final Score - Eagan defeats Farmington 23-25, 25-20, 25-18, 22-25, 15-23.
