FARMINGTON, Minn. – On Thursday, May 13th, the Tigers hosted the #7-ranked Shakopee Sabers for a high-energy Senior Night matchup. Farmington entered the night riding the momentum of a strong finish at their home tournament, while Shakopee came in red-hot, winning seven of their last eight matches.
Set one was a back-and-forth battle early, with both teams struggling to find rhythm due to unforced errors. Tied at 17, the Sabers surged ahead with an 8-1 run to close out the set, 25-18.
The second set saw Farmington fall behind early as Shakopee maintained their momentum. A lineup change for the Tigers brought fresh energy, but it took time to settle in. Despite strong efforts and a few well-timed connections at the net between Brayden Kemmet and Isaac Albrecht, Farmington couldn't close the gap, dropping the set 25-15.
Facing a sweep, the Tigers showed resilience in the third set, staying within reach and calling a timeout down 10-14 to regroup. However, a late push fell short as the Sabers closed it out 25-15, taking the match in straight sets, 3-0.
Final Score - Shakopee defeats Farmington 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-15)

Andrew is in his third year with the boys volleyball program and plans to attend the University of Minnesota.

TJ is in his third year of playing boys volleyball. TJ plans to become a firefighter after graduation.

This is AJ's first year playing boys volleyball. He plans to attend Inver Hills Community College and pursue a two-year degree.
Lara LeDuc.
This is Lara's first year managing the boys volleyball team. She will attend the University of Minnesota Duluth to study social work.
Katlynn Skluzacek.
This is her first year as a team manager. Katlynn will attend the University of Wisconsin–River Falls to study biology and criminology
Coach Cole Wilcek.
Cole played volleyball for Farmington for four years before transitioning to a coaching role in his senior season. He will attend UW–Eau Claire to play basketball and study secondary education.
