Brooke Genzler Named Next Girls Lacrosse Head Coach at Farmington High School

FARMINGTON, MN – Farmington High School Athletics Director, Keith Badger, announced on Friday that, pending school board approval, Brooke Genzler has been named the next girls lacrosse head coach at Farmington High School.

Genzler attended Farmington Area Public Schools from kindergarten through ninth grade and developed a deep passion for lacrosse in the fourth grade. She has remained actively engaged in the sport ever since.

Genzler played Women's Lacrosse at Concordia University in St. Paul and competed at the Division II level. She continued her education and successfully graduated from the University of Minnesota.

She has been coaching girls lacrosse for the past nine years. Genzler has worked at both the youth level as well as high school level. She spent two years as an assistant coach at Apple Valley/Burnsville before her most recent job as an assistant coach at Prior Lake High School.

"I am thrilled and honored to accept the position of head coach for the girls lacrosse team at Farmington High School. The prospect of leading this team fills me with immense excitement, and I eagerly anticipate the upcoming season. I look forward to the opportunity to positively impact the players and the program for years to come," said Genzler.

"Brooke is going to make a great addition to our girls lacrosse program at Farmington High School and will also be a great asset to the youth lacrosse program. I am excited to support her enthusiasm and passion for the sport of lacrosse," said Badger.

The Tigers finished the 2023 season 9-7, 3-4 SSC and finished as the Section 1A runner-up. Genzler's inaugural season as head coach begins on April 1, 2024. The Tigers' first game will be on the road at The Blake School on Thursday, April 11, 2024.
