Farmington, Minn. - Farmington took the lead late and defeated Owatonna 5-2 on Monday.
The game was tied at two with the Tigers batting in the bottom of the sixth when Carson Olson induced
Josh Berreth to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.
Farmington opened up scoring in the second inning, when
Kelin Rasmussen singled on a 3-2 count, scoring one run.
Owatonna evened things up at two in the top of the fifth inning. Collin Vick tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.
Sawyer Hoffman was the winning pitcher for the Tigers. The pitcher surrendered two runs on four hits over seven innings, striking out 15 and walking zero.
Mitch Seykora toed the rubber for Owatonna. Seykora surrendered two runs on four hits over two innings, striking out one. Olson threw four innings in relief.
