Lakeville, Minn. -- In a spirited performance at the Section 1 One Act Play competition, Farmington High School traveled to Lakeville South to showcase their talents in "The Medicine Show or How to Succeed in Medicine Without Really Trying."
The performance was of particular significance marking the first time in many years Farmington High School had representation in the Section 1 One Act Play competition.Â
Despite not advancing to the next stage, the Farmington team delivered an exceptionally humorous rendition of the play. The spotlight shone on
Ava Bernatz,
Grant Bernatz,
Anthony Brunstad,
Maggie Crosby, and
Tyler Udell, who delivered standout performances in their respective starring roles.
Ava Bernatz, a senior, took on the role of Lucinda with finesse, adding a layer of charm to the production. Grant Bernatz, a freshman, stepped into the character of Lucas with remarkable skill, demonstrating a promising start to his high school theater journey. Anthony Brunstad, a senior, showcased his talent as Geronte, contributing to the overall depth of the performance. Maggie Crosby, a junior, brought Martine to life with her captivating portrayal, leaving a lasting impression on the audience. Tyler Udell, whose role as Sganarelle was central to the plot, delivered a standout performance that resonated with the crowd.
Behind the scenes, the tech crew, led by Neleh Bruha, Ben Coyer, Kal Iverson, and others, played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth execution of the production. Despite not securing advancement in the competition, the Farmington High School team displayed a commendable level of dedication and skill in their performance of "The Medicine Show or How to Succeed in Medicine Without Really Trying" at the Section 1 One Act Play competition.
