FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers girls swimming and diving team put forth a strong effort but ultimately came up short against the Rosemount Irish, losing 102-84 on Tuesday night at the Dodge Middle School pool. The Tigers showcased several standout performances throughout the meet, but it wasn't enough to overcome the depth of Rosemount.

The Tigers started the meet with a strong performance in the 200-yard medley relay, with the team of Parker Risch, Taylor Gergen, Micaela Cardoza, and Mikaela Udell finishing second in 1:57.07, just behind Rosemount.
In individual events, Mikaela Udell claimed first place in the 200-yard freestyle, clocking in at 2:06.18, followed closely by Abbi Olson, who finished third with a time of 2:09.23. Udell also took second in the 100-yard freestyle, finishing in 56.64 seconds, with Parker Risch placing third in 58.88.
Taylor Gergen continued her dominance in the 50-yard freestyle, winning the event with a time of 26.25. Gergen also captured first in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing in 1:09.21, while Parker Risch took second in 1:15.58.
In diving, Claire Gergen placed third with a score of 153.85, while Finn Samuell followed closely in fourth with 145.45 points.
The Tigers finished strong in the 400-yard freestyle relay, with the team of Mikayla Gabrielson, Micaela Cardoza, Parker Risch, and Taylor Gergen taking second place with a time of 3:59.05.

The Tigers travel to Lakeville's Blanchard Aquatic Center on Saturday, October 12 to compete in the Section True Team meet.
