FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington girls swimming and diving team hosted Eden Prairie on Tuesday night at Dodge Middle School, coming up short in a 105-78 loss in South Suburban Conference competition. The Tigers earned several top finishes but were edged by the Eagles' depth across the event lineup.

Farmington opened the meet with a second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, as Mikaela Udell, Parker Risch, Taylor Gergen, and Micaela Cardoza clocked a time of 1:57.88. In the individual events, Cardoza delivered a win in the 100-yard freestyle (56.24) and added a runner-up finish in the 100 backstroke (1:04.05).
Alyssa Bower claimed the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:04.81 and helped power the Tigers' 400 freestyle relay to a first-place finish in 3:47.40 alongside Cardoza, Udell, and Gergen.
Risch contributed a second-place effort in the 500 freestyle (5:46.46) and finished third in the 200 IM (2:22.61). Gergen added a second-place finish in the 100 butterfly (1:01.67), while Claire Gergen led the Tigers on the boards, winning the 1-meter diving competition with a score of 148.85.
Additional scoring efforts came from Claire Duellman, Leah Warmka, and Claire Akolly in sprint events, along with strong relay work from the Tigers' depth swimmers.
UP NEXT
Farmington travels to Apple Valley on Thursday, September 25, for a South Suburban Conference meet against the Eastview Lightning. Events are set to begin at 6:00 p.m.
