FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers girls swimming and diving team celebrated their seniors in style with a 94-87 victory over the Eagan Wildcats on Tuesday night at the Dodge Middle School pool. The Tigers secured their second South Suburban Conference win of the season behind standout performances in both individual events and relays.

The Tigers set the tone early in the varsity 200-yard medley relay, where the team of Micaela Cardoza, Taylor Gergen, Mikaela Udell, and Mikayla Gabrielson finished just behind Eagan, placing second with a time of 1:57.35.
In the 200-yard freestyle, Mikaela Udell took first place with a time of 2:04.20, while Abbi Olson followed closely in second, clocking in at 2:11.89. Taylor Gergen dominated the 200-yard individual medley, winning the event with a time of 2:17.38. Mikayla Gabrielson and Micaela Cardoza added to the Tigers' success by finishing first and second, respectively, in the 50-yard freestyle with times of 26.68 and 26.75.
The Tigers continued their strong showing in the 100-yard freestyle, as Gabrielson earned first place with a time of 58.94, followed by Olson in second at 59.38. Parker Risch added another victory for Farmington in the 100-yard backstroke, touching the wall in 1:07.59.
In the 500-yard freestyle, Cardoza took first place with a time of 5:33.63, with teammate Risch placing third in 5:54.73.
The Tigers capped off the meet with a first-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay, as Gabrielson, Gergen, Cardoza, and Udell combined for a time of 1:45.92 to secure the win for Farmington.
UP NEXT
The Tigers will travel to Apple Valley on Tuesday, October 22, for a 6:00 p.m. dual meet against the Eagles at Valley Middle School.
