Despite Miller setting a new Tiger record, Blaze take the match in 5.

Farmington, MN - The Tigers hosted the Burnsville Blaze to kick of conference play. The Blaze, coming off a hot start, showed their strengths in tonights match. Burnsville was a force at the net putting up the largest block the Tigers have seen all season. Set one was tight throughout, with the Tigers taking the set 25-22. Set two was different, with Burnsville taking a few early leads including a 20-13 lead resulting in a Tiger timeout. With a little steam late in set two Farmington closed the gap but fell 20-25. In set three the Tigers kept a short lead until the Blaze tied it up at 19-19. The Blaze missed a serve at 24-24 giving the Tigers a one point lead however took the next three points winning set three 27-25. In set four, the Blaze exhausted a timeout early down 3-8. With a run of their own they made it a ball game, and the teams found themselves tied at 24-24 again. This time around Farmington executed and took set four 26-24 forcing a fifth set. After just playing a 5th set match the Tigers started off in a better spot, even leading 6-5. With a Farmington missed serve, a Burnsville ace, and with the block that the Blaze put up, the Tigers found themselves down 10-14. With a scrappy play the Tigers took the next point earning the serve but fell short on that next possession falling 11-15 and 3-2 in the match. 

The T1GERS were led in kills by Bergen Miller with a new Farmington record for kills in a match- 26. Tyler Beckwith and TJ Martin with 12 each, and Cole Wilcek with 8. Wilcek with 16 digs, Isaac Albrecht and Martin with 15 each. 

Final Score - Burnsville Blaze defeats Farmington 22-25, 25-20, 27-25, 23-25, 15-11.
