Farmington, Minn. -- In a matchup against Section 1 rival the Owatonna Huskies, the Farmington Tigers showcased their dominance on the lacrosse field, securing a 12-8 victory on Thursday night. The Tigers' season record now stands at 5-0. 

The game unfolded with both teams exchanging offensive blows in the early stages. Owatonna took an early lead, ending the first quarter with a 3-2 advantage. However, Farmington surged ahead in the second quarter, capitalizing on scoring opportunities to seize control of the match. With a remarkable offensive outburst, the Tigers piled on seven goals in the second quarter alone, heading into halftime with a commanding 9-5 lead.

Despite Owatonna's efforts to stage a comeback, Farmington maintained their composure and defensive solidity throughout the game. The Tigers managed to keep the Huskies at bay, limiting their scoring opportunities and preserving their lead. 

Several key players stood out for the Farmington Tigers, contributing significantly to their team's success. Tommy Lund showcased exceptional scoring prowess, netting four goals, while Caden Hennes delivered a stellar performance with four goals and one assist. Jack Rosa provided crucial support with three assists, further bolstering Farmington's offensive prowess.

In the goaltending department, Hayden Houghton stood tall for Farmington, making critical saves to thwart Owatonna's offensive attempts.
