Farmington, Minn. -- It was a doubleheader sweep for Tiger Lacrosse over Shakopee on Tuesday evening.
The girls won a thriller, escaping at the buzzer with an 11-10 win for their third consecutive victory and their first conference win in their very first try.
The Tiger Boys made it a perfect 4-0 start to the season, cruising by the Sabers 12-2.
The girls were led by an incredible nine points from
Jaida Steffes who scored four goals and tallied five assists
.
The Tigers led by five entering the final period, but had to escape by only one at the end for a hard-fought victory.
The Tiger Boys were led by a trio of gentlemen who helped lead the wire-to-wire victory.
Henry Ulrick tallied five goals, while
Jack Rosa and
Tommy Lund added crucial goals and assists along the way.
Tiger lacrosse begins the season 1-0 in South Suburban play for both the men and women after the doubleheader sweep on Tuesday.
