Minnetonka, Minn. -- In the Hopkins True Team Invitational, Farmington High School's track and field team performed well against their opponents including the Edina Hornets, Hopkins Royals, Rosemount Irish, and the St. Michael-Albertville Knights.
In the girls' 100m dash,
Marianah Scott led the charge, securing second place with a time of 12.81 seconds, contributing 19 points to the team.
Ellie Helgemoe and Casey Johnson also delivered notable performances, earning valuable points for the Tigers.
Scott continued to showcase her speed in the 200m dash, clinching sixth place with a time of 26.64 seconds, adding 15 points to Farmington's tally. Savanna Owens and Helgemoe bolstered the team's performance with strong finishes in the event. Emma Oden demonstrated her hurdling prowess in the 300m hurdles, claiming second place with a time of 49.02 seconds, contributing crucial points to the Tigers' overall score.
In the middle-distance events, Lauren Lansing dominated the girls' 800m run, securing first place with a time of 2:25.07, earning 20 points for Farmington. Mariah Fenske showcased her strength in the 1600m run, clinching second place with a time of 5:11.46, adding 19 points to the team's total.
Jada Henrikson led the charge in the field events, claiming first place in the shot put with a throw of 34-04.75 meters, contributing 20 points to the Tigers' score. Kate Martin and Jeanette Green also delivered impressive performances in the shot put, securing valuable points for Farmington.
The Tigers' relay teams displayed outstanding teamwork, with the 4x400m relay team finishing second with a time of 4:11.31 and the 4x800m relay team crossing the finish line in 10:03.99, securing second place and adding significant points to the team's overall score.
