Farmington, MN - Despite an early lead of 10-3 against the Wildcats of Eagan, the Tigers were not able to finish set one victorious. The Tigers dropped set one 25-27. WIth all the momentum taken from Farmington, Eagan took advantage with a run of 5 aces in a row closing out set two 25-18. In set three the Tigers showed life battling point for point with the Wildcats until taking a four point lead, 20-16, and forcing an Eagan timeout. From there, each point was matched by the other team leading to a 25-20 win for Farmington. Now with the momentum, Tigers took an early 7-1 lead until the Wildcats clawed their way back. With 5 serving errors each, including 8 in the last 10 points- Eagan took the set 28-26 and the match 3-1.
The Tigers were led in kills by TJ Martin with 13 and Bergen Miller with 12. Tyler Beckwith tallied 9 kills himself. Big game for Andrew Kaliev and Alex Afanasyev in the back row with over 25 digs combined.
Final Score - Eagan defeats Farmington 27-25, 25-18, 20-25, and 28-26.
