Girls Lacrosse Comes Up Just Short At Lakeville North

Lakeville, Minn. -- In a tightly contested girls lacrosse matchup, the Farmington Tigers faced off against the Lakeville North Panthers, ultimately falling short by a single goal. The final score was 9-8, bringing the Tigers' season record to 6-6 overall and 3-3 in conference play.

Farmington's goalie, Lily Blanchard, made a commendable 19 saves on 28 shots, maintaining a save percentage of .679. Lakeville North's goalie, Brooke Wagenbach, also performed admirably, stopping 13 of 21 shots for a .619 save percentage.

Farmington's Caprese Meier led the charge for the Tigers, scoring four goals and adding an assist. Jaida Steffes contributed significantly with one goal and four assists, while Kendall Sainsbury found the back of the net twice and assisted on another goal. Morgan Mitchell also added a goal and an assist to the Tigers' tally.

For the Panthers, Shay Swanson was the standout player, scoring seven goals on ten shots. Susanna Loftness and Leah Hahs each added a goal, with Kayla Ross providing two assists to support the team's efforts.

Despite Farmington's effort, it wasn't enough to overcome Lakeville North's nine goals. The Panthers' offensive momentum proved decisive, securing them the narrow victory.
