Box Score Lakeville, Minn. -- In an SSC showdown, the Farmington Tigers roared to a commanding 7-0 victory over the Lakeville South Cougars, maintaining their perfect record at 10-0.
Right out of the gate in the top of the 1st inning, the Tigers wasted no time asserting their dominance.
Dillon Carlson was picked off at 2nd, but the momentum quickly shifted when
Tanner Rezny doubled on a line drive to center field, bringing in
Dalton Kesti for the first run of the game. The Tigers weren't finished yet as
Kelin Rasmussen stepped up to the plate and blasted a homer over the left field fence, extending Farmington's lead to 3-0.
As the game progressed, the Tigers continued to showcase their offensive prowess. In the top of the 7th inning, with the score at 5-0 in favor of Farmington, Rezny once again delivered with a clutch double, this time sending both Kesti and Brock Boyles across the plate to further widen the gap. And just when Lakeville South hoped to stem the tide, Rasmussen unleashed another home run, this time with Rezny scoring again, sealing Farmington's victory at 7-0.
The Farmington Tigers' solid pitching and explosive hitting proved too much for Lakeville South to handle, as the Tigers' relentless performance secured another impressive win, bolstering their undefeated record in SSC action.
