Farmington High School Announces 2024 Inductees To Hall of Fame

FARMINGTON, Minn. - The Farmington High School activities department is pleased to announce the 2024 Hall of Fame class, featuring five distinguished individuals set for induction on Saturday, September 14, 2024.

The 2024 inductees are:

  • Devyn (Alberts) Eskew (Soccer, Track, 2008-11)
  • Kirstee (Rotty) Fong (Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, Track, 2006-09)
  • Jon Holmes (Girls Hockey & Boys Golf Coach)
  • Kaitlyn O'Reilly (Swimming, Golf, 2011-14)
  • Sam Schmitz (Golf, Hockey, 1996-99)

Ceremonies
The Class of 2024 induction celebration will occur during Farmington High School's Homecoming Week, from September 9-14. Festivities will commence on Wednesday, September 11, with the inductees participating in the 2024 Homecoming Parade.

The inductees will be specially recognized at the Homecoming football game, featuring a private event hosted by the Tiger Fan Club on the balcony of Tiger Stadium. Additionally, they will be honored on the sideline before the game.

The celebration will culminate with the 2024 Farmington High School Hall of Fame banquet at The Community Room in Farmington (305 Third St) on Saturday, September 14, at 11:00 am. The event is open to the public, and everyone is welcome to attend.

2024 Farmington High School Hall of Fame Inductees

Devyn (Alberts) Eskew (Class of 2011)
A two-sport athlete in soccer and track, Devyn was the 2011 Athena Award winner and female Athlete of the Year. She earned five letters in soccer, starting as an eighth grader, and received multiple honors including all-conference and conference player of the year.

Kirstee (Rotty) Fong (Class of 2009)
Kirstee excelled in volleyball, basketball, softball, and track. She was a state leader in digs, a four-time letter earner in volleyball, and a key player in basketball and softball, holding numerous school records.

Jon Holmes (Girls Hockey & Boys Golf Coach)
A 1999 FHS graduate, Jon has coached boys and girls hockey and boys golf. His coaching accolades include multiple state tournament appearances, conference championships, and several Coach of the Year awards.

Kaitlyn O'Reilly (Class of 2014)
Kaitlyn is an eight-time all-state swimmer, a Minnesota Swimmer of the Year nominee, and a distinguished scholar. She holds multiple school records and has continued to excel at the United States Naval Academy, earning numerous accolades.

Sam Schmitz (Class of 1999)
Sam participated in golf, hockey, and cross country, earning five letters in golf. He achieved all-state honors, was a multiple-time MIAC Champion at St. John's University, and has been recognized in both the MN Golf Hall of Fame and St. John's Athletics Hall of Honor.

About the Farmington High School Hall of Fame
The purpose of the Farmington High School Athletics, Arts, and Activities Hall of Fame is to recognize and honor those students, coaches, advisors, administrators, and supporters who excelled in their respective sport or activity. Hall of Fame members distinguished themselves by bringing honor, recognition, distinction, and excellence to Farmington High School by their conduct both in their sport or activity as well as in the community.
