FARMINGTON, Minn. -- The Farmington Tigers faced a tough battle in their swimming and diving meet against the Waconia Wildcats, ultimately falling 114-72. Despite the loss, several Farmington athletes delivered standout performances.
In the 200-yard medley relay, the Tigers' varsity team of Mikaela Udell, Taylor Gergen, Micaela Cardoza, and Parker Risch finished first with a time of 1:59.42, narrowly edging out Waconia by less than a second. Taylor Gergen continued to shine in the 200-yard individual medley, winning the event with a time of 2:16.64, while Mikaela Udell secured third place in the same event.
Micaela Cardoza also claimed a victory in the 500-yard freestyle, clocking in at 5:36.96. Parker Risch and Abbi Olson both tied for second in the 50-yard freestyle, posting a time of 27.47. Taylor Gergen added a second-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle, touching the wall at 56.13.
In diving, Finn Samuell led the Tigers by winning the 1-meter event with a score of 148.15. Claire Gergen and Brooke Kunz added valuable points, finishing third and fifth, respectively.

UP NEXT
The Tigers are back in the pool on Thursday, September 12 for a SSC meet with the Prior Lake Lakers at 6:00 pm. The meet will take place at Hidden Oaks Middle School.
