FARMINGTON, Minn. – The Farmington Tigers girls swimming and diving team put up a strong effort but ultimately fell to the Eastview Lightning 100-83 in Thursday night's South Suburban Conference meet. Despite several standout performances, the Tigers came up just short against a tough Eastview squad.

Farmington opened the meet with a close second-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay, where the team of Abbi Olson, Taylor Gergen, Josie Ribelin, and Izzy Auwarter clocked in at 2:02.77, just behind Eastview's winning time of 2:01.48. The Tigers also took fourth place with the relay team of Micaela Cardoza, Parker Risch, Hannah Fernandes, and Stacy Grinyayev.
In individual events, Mikaela Udell claimed first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:03.59, while Micaela Cardoza finished fourth at 2:10.19. Taylor Gergen dominated the 100-yard butterfly with a first-place finish, clocking in at 1:00.97, while Ribelin took sixth at 1:11.31.
In the diving competition, Brooke Kunz took second with a score of 127.30, followed closely by teammate Claire Gergen in third with 126.80 points.
Farmington's relay teams continued to perform well, with the 200-yard freestyle relay team of Mikayla Gabrielson, Udell, Risch, and Gergen claiming first place in a time of 1:45.59. The Tigers ended the meet with a win in the 400-yard freestyle relay, as Cardoza, Gabrielson, Olson, and Udell posted a time of 3:58.17.
